A few months back, a fellow writer expressed their dedication to reading and interacting with ten articles daily on Medium. Although this goal felt overwhelming at the time, I was inspired and wanted to create my own plan for consistent engagement.
To hold myself accountable, I set a modest yet achievable target: to read and engage with at least five articles each day. Balancing three jobs outside of Medium, I understood that five articles might seem minimal to some, but my intention was not to overextend myself. I’m thrilled with this progress. Regardless of how many times I reassure myself that I don’t have high expectations for my writing, we all aspire to succeed in our passions. What I have learned is that engagement is crucial for achieving success on Medium.

Instead, I took inspiration from their goal and crafted my own approach, gradually building up to my ambitions.
Now, I feel prepared to commit to reading and engaging with ten articles each day—not out of comparison, but from a belief in the abundance available to all writers on Medium.
