Tools Under $50 That Helped Me Earn My First $10K as a Creator

Chapter 1: Essential Tools for Creators
In the vast landscape of creator tools, there are countless options available that can assist with everything from content production to graphic design and email outreach. When I began my journey as a creator, I relied heavily on five specific tools that were crucial to establishing and growing my business. These tools continue to be invaluable assets for me today.
Section 1.1: Canva – My Go-To Graphic Design Tool
Canva has been my trusted companion for years. I started with a free account that offers an impressive array of features. Eventually, I upgraded to the paid version, costing around $13 per month, which provides benefits like creating images with transparent backgrounds and access to a wider selection of Canva Pro images.
I utilize Canva for all my graphic design needs. In the past, I hired graphic designers on Fiverr for about $30 each to create logos for websites I intended to flip, but now I can effortlessly design unlimited logos for a fraction of that cost. With upcoming projects involving multiple website builds, Canva is saving me both time and money.
Other uses for Canva include:
- Designing Facebook group covers
- Creating eBook covers
- Crafting graphics for sales pages
- Developing email newsletter signatures
Section 1.2: Exploding Topics – Finding Trending Content
Whenever I launch a new blog or faceless TikTok account, Exploding Topics is my first stop to identify trending topics. It provides inspiration and insights into potential content ideas or niches for my next endeavor. I primarily use the free version, but there is a premium option that unlocks additional exclusive features.
Subsection 1.2.1: ColorPick Eyedropper – Precise Color Selection
This Google Chrome extension is a lifesaver for obtaining exact color codes. For instance, if I come across a website with a highlight text color that I admire, I can easily activate the extension and pinpoint the exact color code. While I don’t use it regularly, it’s incredibly useful when the need arises.
Section 1.3: Grammarly – Enhancing My Writing
Grammarly is an essential tool for my online writing. I use the free version along with the Chrome extension to enhance the quality of my content. For those who write frequently, Grammarly is undoubtedly one of the best resources available.
Section 1.4: Google Docs Voice Typing – Speedy Content Creation
For those times when I need to produce a large volume of content quickly, Google Docs' voice typing feature is invaluable. It’s a free tool that transcribes spoken words into text efficiently. Although I don't use it often, it's a fantastic option when I need to generate content rapidly.
Chapter 2: Bonus Tool – Systeme
Systeme is an all-in-one marketing platform that I switched to from ConvertKit for email marketing. With a monthly fee of about $27, I pay significantly less than I did at ConvertKit while enjoying a broader range of features, including:
- Webinars
- Blogging
- Subscription services
- Product sales
- Sales funnels
Since adopting Systeme’s subscription services, I’ve generated around $2,000 in subscription payments within just a few weeks. If you haven’t explored Systeme yet, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Conclusion: Affordable Tools for Success
As illustrated, effective content creation tools can be quite affordable. The resources I utilize are invaluable and often free. What about you? Do you use any of these tools? Which ones stand out as your favorites?
