# Exciting Developments in ILLUMINATION's Curation Service—Volume 11

Written on

Chapter 1: Welcome to Volume 11

Greetings to all readers and writers,

This latest compilation has been curated by ILLUMINATION-Curators as part of our innovative service designed to showcase outstanding pieces nominated by a dedicated team of 57 volunteer editors associated with ILLUMINATION Integrated Publications on Medium.com, which boasts over 24,000 writers.

For details on the motivations behind this initiative, please refer to our earlier volumes: Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3, Volume 4, Volume 5, Volume 6, Volume 7, Volume 8, Volume 9, Volume 10. We are excited for you to dive into Volume 11.

We are thrilled to announce that our special publication, ILLUMINATION-Curated, has received recognition as an effective nominating platform. Discover how ILLUMINATION Publications supports the BOOST Program.

It is essential to understand that the stories featured here are selected by our volunteer editors, who are also writers and readers on this platform. Thus, this collection represents their shared tastes. ILLUMINATION maintains a neutral stance regarding all published narratives, as it is impossible to highlight over a million stories. However, we strive to amplify as many remarkable stories as possible on an almost daily basis, depending on our volunteers' availability.

Stories possess the ability to shape individual perspectives. Recently, our chief editor was particularly inspired by a touching narrative and envisioned the potential impact if more writers shared their cherished tales in a similar fashion. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore various narratives and inspirations, enriching our platform with diverse voices.

Section 1.1: The Power of Collaboration

Medium thrives on the essential partnership between writers and readers, cultivating a unique environment for both communities. Our editors and administrators generously volunteer their time to ensure every writer can express their voice.

This commitment entails daily reviews and publication of stories without any form of compensation. It's crucial to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions of these individuals as we utilize this service.

Engaging with writers by leaving comments, applauding their work, sharing on social media, and following their profiles can bring immense joy and encouragement. Your support acts as a powerful motivator, inspiring them to create more exceptional pieces like those found in this collection.

Section 1.2: The Curation Process

From a pool of 145 volunteer editors, a dedicated team of 57 curators has developed this service to enhance story visibility. Each curator selects a few stories from their daily readings, and our lead ILLUMINATION-Curators compile them into collections for our audience. However, we must limit the number of stories featured to maintain a manageable post size.

Our lead curators incorporate these selections into lists, a fantastic Medium feature. When you see your stories included in these lists, you can save, share them on social media, and engage with the list through comments and likes for increased visibility. The entire curation process is time-consuming, so your support is greatly appreciated whenever possible.

Chapter 2: Nurturing New Talent

Recent challenges in writers' earnings on Medium have arisen due to fraudulent activities, as reported by Mike Broadly, DHSc, in his article titled "Here's What Seems to Happen to Medium Last Week."

We also introduced Ali Alzahrani, one of our consulting editors, who assists in reviewing impactful stories for boost nominations to enhance their chances of acceptance. Let's rally around Ali, as he is new to the Medium community.

With this opportunity, we extend a warm welcome to new writers joining us today. Explore their profiles at the end of this collection.

Section 2.1: Daily Sharing List

Within this compilation, you’ll find a range of intriguing and relevant pieces. Today, our editor and media coordinator Aiden (Illumination Gaming) has curated this list, making it easy for you to share on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, or Quora.

Let’s engage with this list and at least tweet about it so that more readers can discover these stories, fulfilling the purpose of our curated lists.

Your generous support for these writers, who pour their hearts into their stories, is greatly appreciated.

You may also self-curate your stories for greater visibility. Aiden has provided a sample example, which you can follow by organizing your stories based on topics.

Additionally, check out a recent story by one of our new writers and editors, Mike Broadly, titled "Healthier Lifestyle," who has made significant strides over the past two months. Feel free to contact Mike in our Slack workspace, as he volunteers to assist new writers.
