When I come across discussions about consistency on Medium, I often perceived it as the necessity of writing and publishing each day. You might have thought the same at some point.

Indeed, consistency can mean writing every day and sharing those pieces regularly. However, it can also refer to writing and publishing every other day, or even once a month. The core idea that most writers emphasize is the importance of writing and publishing with regularity.

This implies that "frequently" relates to shorter intervals between publications, while "consistently" denotes sticking to a defined schedule at your chosen frequency. Now that we've clarified this concept, let's delve deeper into the subject.

Chapter 2: The Daily Writing Debate

Many new writers seek clear answers regarding the significance of daily writing. You might have encountered headlines like:

• “I earned $300 by writing daily for a month.”
• “Why daily writing is crucial on Medium.”
• “My 90-day writing challenge results!”

Yet, you probably wonder if these outcomes would apply to your situation. The truth is, writing every day can offer advantages. While it’s not guaranteed, consistently publishing increases your chances of attracting a larger audience and boosting your earnings due to the higher volume of stories shared.

Still, if your approach is flawed, you might not see these benefits at all. In such cases, it could be more productive to focus your efforts elsewhere, where you might achieve more assured results.

So, do you really need to write daily to succeed on this platform?

My straightforward answer is: yes and no.
